The UK Department of Health recommends babies from birth to one year of age take a daily supplement containing 8.5-10µg of vitamin D*, and that children from one to 4 years take a daily supplement containing 10µg of vitamin D. *Unless they are drinking 500ml or more of infant formula a day, as infant formula has vitamins added to it.
