Glowing Skin Routine
In the rush of day-to-day life we can sometimes neglect our skin. UV rays, harsh weather and stress may all negatively impact our skin’s condition, therefore it’s important to nourish and protect it whenever we can.
Technological advancements in skincare have resulted in a sea of new products appearing on our shelves, which could make it even more difficult to find products that suit your skin’s needs.
We believe that skincare shouldn’t be complicated which is why we’ve developed Perfectil, which is designed to complement and fit into your daily skincare routine - but just how can healthy and radiant skin be achieved and maintained in everyday life?
In our guide, we’ve put together six simple tips that will help to keep your skin healthy and glowing!
1. Avoid Too Much Sun
Prolonged exposure to the sun’s harmful UV rays has been proven to damage the skin. Some of the effects of too much sun exposure may include: wrinkles, dark spots and premature ageing.
That’s why it’s crucial that we protect our skin from these harmful rays. Wearing sunscreen under makeup or switching to a moisturiser or foundation with a decent SPF is an easy way to protect your skin from damage from UV rays.
2. Drink Plenty of Water
It is recommended to drink around 6-8 glasses of water to keep your body hydrated. This can help to maintain healthy and glowing skin.

3. Healthy And Balanced Diet
What we put into our body can impact its external appearance, so it’s no surprise that improving your diet can help to maintain the healthy appearance of your skin.
Raw fruits and vegetables contain nutrients that can help to combat the signs of aging and promote healthy skin. Consuming too much salt and sugar may impact the way our skin looks and feels.
4. Avoid Smoking
Another way to achieve healthier skin is to stop smoking. Smoking damages our internal organs over time and is just as damaging for the skin. Even if you don’t smoke yourself, regular exposure to secondhand smoke may have similar effects.
Our advice is to reduce the amount you smoke, or preferably stop altogether. Your GP or pharmacist can recommend ways to help you quit.
5. De-Stress
For a long time, stress has been directly linked to skin problems. Stress affects hormone levels, which in some people, can cause breakouts and other skin issues.
Stress-management techniques such as meditation and yoga are easy ways to de-stress and avoid breakouts.
6. Rethink Your Skincare Routine
If you’ve been using the same products on your skin for years, they may not have the same effect as when you started using them.
One way you can keep your skin looking radiant is to make sure the products you’re using are appropriate for your skin type.
Skin can change over time and our products should change with it to ensure we experience all the benefits.
Improving your skin doesn’t happen overnight and can be a long process, however the results are always rewarding. If you follow some or all of these steps, you’ll be on your way to achieving healthy and glowing skin in no time.
